During the first 24 hours, you will notice a build up of fluid underneath the wrap. You will leave that fluid underneath the wrap for a full 24 hours. After 24 hours, create a small opening at the bottom of the wrap and drain as much fluid as possible. Once you have drained the fluid, make sure the area is dry, and reseal the opening you created with medical tape. (Some customers use bandaids since they are usually at hand)

You will leave this wrap on for 3 more days if possible, making a total of 4 days. If you cannot make it 3 more days, that is okay. All you will need to do is start these next steps early.

At the end of your 4th day, remove the wrap under warm running water. Heat and moisture

loosen the adhesive better than a dry peel. For best results, remove the bandage in

a warm shower. You can use a mild unscented soap* also to help lift the bandage if it

is particularly sticky.

Pat your skin dry with a clean paper towel. Refrain from using a wash cloth as they can

harbor bacteria and leave residue. Let the tattoo air dry for around 5-10 minutes. Once your skin is

dry and free of all moisture, moisturize with a thin layer of Reborn Tattoo Aftercare or a tattoo after care of your choice.

For the next couple of weeks, wash the tattoo well and apply moisturizer as needed. I recommend washing it once in the morning, once throughout the day if you have done any physical activity or work, and again in the shower at night.

*For soap, I recommend Dr. Bronners Unscented or Dial Gold

*For moisturizer, I recommend any Second Skin tattoo cream, or a moisturizer that is created to heal tattoos. This is very important because not everything is made equal with tattoos in mind.

And remember, no picking, itching, or scratching. Let any flakes from the tattoo fall off naturally- if you don’t, scarring can occur and ink can be pulled out.
